Pioneer with foresight

In 1964, Hugo Bürli founds a metal processing company and successfully runs the sole proprietorship under his name for over 20 years. Over time, the company develops continuously and makes a name for itself throughout Switzerland and internationally with the manufacture and sale of playground, sports and leisure equipment as well as park furniture. In 1989, as a logical consequence, Bürli Spiel- und Sportgeräte AG was founded. Today, the family business is run by the second generation.

A milestone in the company's history was the construction of the new production hall in 1973 at the current location in St. Erhard, Lucerne. With the construction of two warehouses in 2000 and 2019, the company's floor space is increased to over 12,000 m2.

New warehouse

A modern warehouse was built in spring 2019. This open hall is mainly used to store various types of wood. The second part of the hall will be completed in early 2026, creating additional capacity.

Renovation and modern infrastructure

In 2024 and 2025, our entire administrative wing was extensively renovated and expanded. Today, Bürli AG boasts a clearly structured and modern infrastructure:

The entrance area and production infrastructure are located on the ground floor. There, our production employees have access to cloakrooms, modern toilet facilities and a break room with a kitchen.

The office staff are located on the first floor. In addition to the sales, human resources, accounting and other departments, there is also an inviting kitchen – ideal for a tasty snack or a short break in between.

The design department works on the second floor. There is also a spacious conference room that is used for training courses and meetings. A spacious terrace with a beautiful view offers additional space for exchanges and encounters.

Products in a proven tradition for more than 60 years

The in-house production has adapted step by step to the needs of the market. Wood as a basic material for playgrounds is becoming more and more important, and as a result its own innovative product lines are also being developed, such as the unique steel/robinia combination, which cleverly combines the advantages of the two materials.

Care, precision and a sense of responsibility form the foundation at Bürli.

Expertise, staff and machinery are constantly being expanded, developed and improved. The focus of our efforts is always the customer with his wishes and ideas, but also the children, to whom we offer exciting, eventful and safe playground visits. Investments remain in the foreground, be it in staff or infrastructure.

Supported by the latest technology as well as decades of experience in planning, service and maintenance, more than 50 qualified employees have been offering our customers products in a proven tradition for years. Thanks to our own production, subsequent deliveries and spare parts are guaranteed in the long term, thus ensuring the sustainability of our products. Safety on the playground is our top priority, all playground equipment is certified according to the standard SN EN 1176-1:2018 and is built and delivered according to these regulations.
